Creating BeerZone

I own a house in Missouri, and it is called "The Portal". The house is a thing with a purpose, to bring cost effective living to art minded people, while assisting in getting their art career in motion, starting on a part time level. Hobbyists, that are out for the fullness of life.

Before pictures of the basement in the Portal House. The future plans include but are not limited to a Bar, a Blue and Green screen background, and comfortable seating. Another area will be designated for animated filming.

The complete space is 10 feet wide by 30 feet deep, we need to make the set appropriate for lighting and filming, and proper placement of permanent cameras for future edited footage.

We are converting the Basement are into the Beer 30 Studio, which will be called BeerZone. The final product will include seating, a Bar, and a green-screen or blue-screen background. We are thinking of incorporating both colors, one for the background and the other for a viewer screen which we can show clips of interest on. This page is about the construction and development of this studio. The concept behind Beer 30 is an art movement, and allowing the public to witness the good bad and the ugly of the production process. Involve yourself, submit suggestions, and become involved as an artist.

As you can see, we have a lot of work ahead of us. My computer repair shop will be behind this area to the right and also accessible from the side area of the set. The laundry room is to the east of the area, and a wall will have to be built to prevent rogues sounds and noises that may come from upstairs or the rest of the common areas of the house.

Blue and Green Screen material, one or the other needs to be large, aprox 6ft x 20ft
Recording cameras on digital x4 (1-2-3-4)
Sound mixer board, computer accessable
Video Editing package - (we have this 3500$ software)
Wood for building bar (Also looking for bar designs, 5foot length)

Track or film quality mountable lighting
Sheetrock for adding walls and barriers 8 sheets (1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8)
8 gallons of white paint for the ceiling (to help refract light) (1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8)
20 2x4 studs for framing (1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-11-12-13-14-15-16-17-18-19-20)
Electrical wire, junction switch and wall mounted power outlets (25ft wire)
